CANNON DESIGN

A cannon is a machine that is used to launch projectiles so they will go the furthest horizontal distance. In history, cannons were first used to for the purpose of military artillery. Cannonballs would be fired at the opponent which would have great affects, killing thousands of people. 

Projectile is an object which only has the force of gravity acting upon it. “A projectile is any object that once projected or dropped continues in motion by its own inertia and is influenced only by the downward force of gravity.”

Design a pop Cannon

·         Keep angle of the cannon as close to the surface as possible

·         Have a moderate length, say 5-6 cans for the launcher

·         The base must be sturdy enough to hold the cannon

The “launcher” or actual cannon is made of pop cans, and there is a small hole made in one of the cans to allow the fuel to go in. An individual must then shake the cannon and ignite it to see it launch.
